Remnant TV: INFLAMMATORY MEDIA: On Michael Voris & Mrs. Niles

An excellent commentary and summation by Michael Matt and Chris Ferrara of the latest Michael Voris/Reactionary Media/Traditional Catholic Bashing broadside. It's a bit over 30 minutes, but time well spent in educating oneself with clear and concise Truth. Misters Matt and Ferrara rip the false facade from the phantoms being paraded by Mr. Voris, whom they still cannot understand the "why" of what he is doing to his former friends. Probably neither does Mr. Voris...

They also provide an excellent defense of the Society of St. Pius X and shred the unfounded charge of schism laid upon them by Mr. Voris.

Leighton's "The Accolade" and Defending Marriage

The Accolade - Leighton 1901

One of my favorite paintings is that of Edward Blair Leighton titled "The Accolade". A Catholic friend has a life-size framed copy in his home; my Estate Attorney (also Catholic) has a slightly smaller version hanging in his office; I know a priest who's Ordination card bears its image. I have seen the image used in conjunction with a favorite quote of mine from the Old Testament, whose words have been aptly applied to Our Lady:

"...I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue." (Ecclesiasticus 24-25)

This portrait can be applied as well, to those who defend their marriages against the modern evil known as divorce, as well as from specious annulments, whose meteoric rise to prominence the past 40 years has been a travesty to justice. In this regard, the Queen anoints her knight (the spouse) before he (or she) enjoins battle, and the knight gains the needed courage to face the unknown enemy (the divorce). To this particular picture, in this particular venue and fighting this particular battle, the words spoken by Gen. Dwight David Eisenhower to the troops preparing for the Battle of D-Day can also be applied:

"I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory!

Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."

Indeed...may Almighty God, Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady bless us upon this great and noble undertaking in the defense of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and of our families.

Ad majorem Dei gloriam...
